Role Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Image Editing Artist with a deep understanding of photography concepts and expertise in image manipulation. The successful candidate will be adept at using tools like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to produce high-quality, retouched images. A keen eye for detail and a comprehensive knowledge of photo-editing techniques are crucial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Background Removal
- Efficiently remove and replace backgrounds from images without compromising the main subjects.
Face and Skin Retouching
- Delicately remove blemishes and wrinkles while preserving natural features such as moles, freckles, and fine skin textures.
- Ensure that retouching remains consistent and realistic, avoiding an over-processed look.
Spill Correction
- Clean up any spills or stains on clothing and skin to present subjects in the best light.
Color Correction
- Adjust images to correct for varying tones, light temperatures, and color imbalances.
- Ensure photos maintain a consistent and desired look across sets or series.
Special Corrections
- Remove braces, correct red-eye effects, teeth whitening, teeth straightening, and other specific image alterations as required.
Glass Glare Removal:
- Expertly reduce or eliminate glare from eyeglasses, ensuring the eyes are visible and natural-looking.
Sharpen/Enhance:
- Intelligently apply sharpening techniques to emphasize details without introducing noise or artifacts.
- Enhance overall image quality to bring out the best in every photograph.
Food/Drool Retouching for Children:
- Remove or reduce food remnants and drool on children's faces and clothing, ensuring a clean and polished look.
Culling Images
- Review large sets of images to select the best ones, considering factors like focus, composition, expression, and lighting. Discard or set aside less optimal images for potential future use or upon client request.
Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in Photography, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in image editing and retouching.
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other relevant image editing tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of photography concepts and terminologies.
- Ability to comprehend and execute detailed editing instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
