Sr. Marketing Manager
We are looking for an energetic, driven marketing professional to join our expanding team at PhotoDay. This individual will have multi-faceted marketing experience with a deep understanding of customer data, website data, and analysis. In addition to marketing insights, the ability to design, lead and implement marketing programs including but not limited to paid marketing, email marketing, social media, webinars, tradeshows and content marketing is required. The individual who will thrive in this role is comfortable splitting their time across marketing strategy and planning, multi-channel execution, and data analysis.
Minimum 7+ years of experience in marketing strategy and analysis in an ecommerce-based or SaaS technology environment. Not required but previous experience managing direct reports is a plus. Both B2B and D2C marketing experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Planning & Strategy
- Diverse marketing experience across one or more channels is strongly preferred: organic social media, email marketing, SMS/text, search engine marketing, paid social media marketing, influencer marketing, paid search marketing, retargeting, website management, ecommerce management, content marketing, trade shows, webinars, print media
- Understands the marketing funnel and how different channels impact consumer behavior—meet the customer where they are
- Intuitive understanding of multi-channel, customer-centric marketing techniques
Marketing Execution
- Appreciates and enjoys well-documented processes, process adherence, and thorough project management
- Comfortable interfacing with creative and product team members via project ticketing system
- Keeps both marketing calendar up-to-date and reflective of all current and future activities
Data, Analytics & Insights
Ability to provide data, analysis, and actionable insights that inform the following:
- Marketing/brand programs and campaigns
- Marketing calendar planning and strategy
- The ability to craft and narrate strong presentations with digestible, succinct recommendations that are easy-to-understand across all departments
- Regularly provide proactive recommendations based on data and insights
Knowledge/Skills
- Google Analytics
- Expert Excel experience
- Collaborates well within cross-functional areas including product, engineering, customer success, creative, sales
- Experience in paid digital marketing such as Google AdWords, Meta, Podcasts, YouTube, etc. a plus
- Highly organized and can work independently
Tools
- Experience with enterprise marketing technology software within the email marketing, SMS/text, and social media industries (examples: Adobe, HubSpot, Intercom, Loomly, Hootsuite, Twilio,etc.)
- Experience working in a task ticketing system such as Jira, Asana, BaseCamp, Monday.com, etc.
- Experience with home-grown or enterprise solutions powering eCommerce shopping
Preferred (but not required) Experience:
- Working in a SaaS environment
- Webinar set-up and oversight
- Familiarity with database queries (SQL) or interfacing with technical colleagues who support database reporting (reporting datawarehouse)
- Writing technical requirements document
- Preparing vendor contracts for legal review
- Enterprise vendor management and contract negotiation
- Working in Google Data Studio
- Using CRO and optimizations software such as Google Optimize and Crazy Egg
